London to Colombo

38 hours after arriving in Stansted airport (many thanks to Grandpa for the bed, breakfast and a lift to the airport!) we have finally made it to our first bed in Sri Lanka.

We had a bit of a scare whilst checking in at Stansted.. we were asked to show our return tickets to the UK (which we don’t have yet) or we would not be able to board. After a quick explanation and showing our onward tickets we were able to check in and get through security.

The rest of the journey was relatively smooth, with some flights even coming in early.

Our stop overs were: Istanbul > Bahrain > Dubai (pictured below) > Male.
